New Album Release: “Dream Dance”

My newest “single” has been released. It’s entitled “Tater Chip Man.” It tells the sad story of a young man who loses his lady love to a potato chip delivery truck driver. I think that the song is similar to some of the songs that Randy Newman has written. My friend Thomas Pinson played drums and did a great job. My producer Michael Cornett played bass and generally made this song come together. Last, but not least, I must thank my co-writer, Bobby Don Bloodworth. Bobby Don helped with some of the lyrics on this song. Bobby Don is great with lyrics, and, better yet, he was eminently qualified to help me with this song because his father actually made his living as a “Tater Chip Man!”
I hope that “Tater Chip Man” makes you smile!
“Tater Chip Man” is available on CDs and also for download at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jimrichter3. You can also find it at iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other places on the web.

My latest single is a humorous, bluesy tune entitled “Tater Chip Man.” It’s about a fellow who falls head-over-heels in love with a lovely lady who works as a cashier in a discount store. Unfortunately, she dumps him for a man who delivers potato chips to her store. If all goes as scheduled, the CD should be released before the end of October.

I have received great news: the CDs of my new instrumental “Cosmic Dust” have been completed ahead of schedule. They have been shipped to me and to CD Baby, the main company that sells my music. Here’s what the CD cover looks like. I think it’s pretty cool to play guitar in outer space!
I am very pleased to announce that my latest instrumental has been released on You Tube. It’s entitled “Cosmic Dust.” Roger Gutierrez played bass, and Thomas Pinson played the drums. Thomas also created the video that accompanies the music. The music was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Michael Cornett at the Cornett Ranch, Ellijay, Georgia. I wrote the music and played guitars and keyboards.
The CD will be released within the next few weeks. It will be available at CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, and other places on the internet. The music will also be available for streaming on Spotify. I’ll have more details soon.
I’m also happy to announce that I now have a You Tube Channel. In addition to “Cosmic Dust,” my other recent music video “Endless War” is also posted on the site. I expect to have a lot more of my music on my channel very soon!

Many thanks to my Producer, Michael Cornett, as well as to the musicians (Roger Gutierrez and RJ Pasternak) who played on the song. Thanks also to Tracy Thomas for her help with harmony vocals. Special thanks go to Thomas Pinson, the extremely talented young man who directed the video.

Just thought I’d post a brief note to let you know that you can now listen to my music on Spotify. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Spotify, it’s an internet streaming company. Although Spotify has a paid subscription feature, the basic level of service is FREE! That means that all of my music is available for free streaming. Just download the app to your cell phone or computer, and you’ll be off and running!
All the best,
Jim
