“Tater Chip Man” is an erudite, intellectual song about a man who falls head-over-heels in love with a lovely lady who works as a cashier at a local Dollar Store, only to lose her to the Tater Chip delivery truck driver who delivers chips to the Dollar Store. OK, I’m joking…the song is not erudite or intellectual. It’s more in the style of “Randy Newman meets Ray Stevens,” but I think you’ll chuckle when you hear it!
“Macon” is an instrumental in the style of the Allman Brothers, one of my favorite bands of all time. I tried to imagine what the ABB would sound like if Duane, Chuck, and Dickey were somehow able to get together and record a new instrumental. Nothing can duplicate the real thing, but I did my best!
